I have recommended it and will go into why with some negatives there so you know.303 squadron is a very famous Polish squadron from the battle of britain, there is a lot of history and heroism to be found out outside of the game around this squadron and its feats in WW2 and I suggest you do that to understand why some will love this game for that reason alone.The fact that you fly a Hurricane is more historically accurate than Spitfires as it was that fighter that was the workhorse of the battle.The game itself is not going to be a pro flying sim, it is on the unreal engine which has its limitations and the developer has done well to work within it. You cannot pull off all air combat manoeuvre's in a dogfight so dont expect verticle scissors or snap rolls, the AI is limited and the flying physics are limited also so management of energy is not really part of it, you can do loops and stalls and split S and simple things, leading your target is possible, head on attacks are fun. The controls are on keyboard which you could see as a plus if you do not have a full setup of stick throttle and pedals, or dont have them plugged in. Some things will stand out that the realist seeking sim flyer will notice such as reloading in mid air or overheating engines that restart.The graphics, well, that is very impressive. Some real detail has gone into the modelling of the aircraft and they dont look like arcade games that seem to get the shapes all wrong. All of the engines are modelled even on the enemy, and when there is one of the games unique bullet cam moments you can see where the bullets have hit ammo or fuel tanks. Even in the Heinkel He111 the bomb rack is modelled. I am very impressed by the modelling of the aircraft in this game it produces some glorious moments in a fight and the screenshots look excellent. There are times in a fight when planes whizz by you with a wing missing and it looks good.When you get a good shot on a target it feels good, looks good and makes you feel like youre in a dogfight.The sound is great, you can hear a rolls royce merlin growling or the injection engine of a bf109. The voice humour of the pilots is great too.There is a mechanic mode in the hanger, as this game has an RPG element to it, you can move around an RAF base before starting your mission. Some of the missions are a bit buggy and difficult to complete even on the easiest setting and then some are really easy. I havent managed to get 100% achievements yet I dont know if this is actually possible.There is a custom mission mode where you can setup your own missions.This would be good for kids to play around on if they are new to flying games aswell as those who enjoy the theme of the battle of britain.I have been enjoying this game and put more hours into it than most other games that I have got so it is definitely worth getting.. pros and conspros.1. I can move the guns and put either bigger or smaller into itCons1. on september 6,1940 i fell through the map more than once on the mission but eventually i finished (my plane did a nose dive through the map)2. The graphics are a bit crude but it is an early acess game3.I think the key bindings should have been out when the game released, so that people who are looking to use a joystick would be able to.4. Even though you can tweak engines and guns ther should be more of a variety to the this in which you can do to the plane like change the cockpit interior and when your plane gets shot up you have to repair it yourself.That is all on my review for, 303 Squadron: battle of britan. It is very arcadish sim, a bit like Microprose Dogfight in 1993. No take off/landing. Forget about what you've learned in other sims. Mouse + W + S for steering. Q + E for left/right adjustment for shooting and you should be an ace. The game offers virtual airfield and aircraft mechanic features that lets you know what it is like to be a pilot between flights. 303 squadron was the best scoring squadron in the Battle of Britain (126 reported kills, even with 50-58 kills that were confirmed after the war - all allied pilot reliability in reporting was of 50% order). Not an ambitious game, but I had fun, being WW II history buff. Niech żyje Polska!. Not really a good game. Ride your bike on the Airfield from A to B to C, then back to A to start a mission or go to sleep to do the same thing again the next day, sometimes twice a day. And for what? To listen to some mostly random sentences with a tiny bit of character info and developement (somebody getting promoted and stuff) from NPCs I don't really care about. Just skipped through them after a little while. Feels like filler content to me. To the actual flying: Arcade mode is boring. Realistic is a bit more fun and challenging. If only the controls were a bit better (like War thunder, IL-2 or any other well made Flying game). And the kill cams are just meh.. Great game, love it.. Better than the a$$hole "elitists" of flight games are giving this credit for.. flight contols dont work. I have seen better systems 10 years ago. this is a joke. I wish I had never bought this not sure what to call it. its not a flight sim may be 20 years ago but not know.. This is a good combat simulation from the WW2.Both on the basis where you can customize your own aircraft, to your own wishes.and you also learn something nice about history.The flight mode is also done nicely, feels like if you are really part of an air platoon. and not all enemies only come for you.The only thing I found less was in the aviation fashion that the ground surface was kept quite simple, trees that grow in the river weining variation.but this was also the only thing I could find.Korom I think this game is definitely worth a 8/10.take the time to walk through the assignments, then it goes almost by itself.And the bicycle idea is super thought.Super game
